Terms of Use
These terms apply when you use the devs.lk website or take part in Devs.lk community spaces and events (together, the “Services”). By using the Services you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Services.
1. The community
Devs.lk exists to help Sri Lankan developers code, connect and create. Participation is generally free. We may change, pause or stop any part of the Services at any time.
2. Code of conduct
Be respectful and help keep Devs.lk welcoming for everyone. You agree not to:
- Harass, discriminate against, threaten or abuse anyone.
- Post spam, scams, malware, or misleading or illegal content.
- Share other people’s personal information without their consent.
- Infringe anyone’s intellectual property or break any applicable law.
- Disrupt, attack or try to gain unauthorised access to the Services.
We may remove content or restrict access for anyone who breaks these rules.
3. Your content
You own what you share. By posting it in a Devs.lk space, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and share it within the Services, for example to show your project or talk to the community. You’re responsible for making sure you have the right to share it.
4. Our content & brand
The Devs.lk name, logo and website content belong to Devs.lk. Please don’t use them in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation without our written permission.
5. Opportunities & third parties
Jobs, events, resources and links shared through Devs.lk may come from third parties. We don’t guarantee them and aren’t responsible for third-party websites, offers or conduct. Do your own checks before acting on them.
6. Disclaimer
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. Information shared in the community is for general purposes and isn’t professional advice.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Devs.lk and its organisers are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the Services.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
9. Changes & governing law
We may update these terms from time to time and will change the “Last updated” date when we do. Continued use means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
