# Devs.lk

> Devs.lk is a community empowering Sri Lankan developers. Connect with industry experts, discover opportunities, and join the waitlist for the Devs.lk Hub.

- Devs.lk is a community for Sri Lankan developers, in Sri Lanka and abroad. Its motto is "Code, Connect, Create".
- Founded in 2023 in Sri Lanka. It is community-run and volunteer-powered. Joining is free.
- It is building the Devs.lk Hub: developer profiles, a project showcase, events with RSVPs, jobs and mentorship in one place. The Hub is in development; the waitlist at https://devs.lk gets into the private beta first.
- Founded by Uvindu Rajapakshe (founder) and Kasun Chanuka Fernando (co-founder).
- Milestones: community partner at the Ceylon Bitcoin Meetup (30 November 2023, Hatch Works, Colombo, organised by Bitcoin දීප with CeylonCash); volunteers at Arduino Day Sri Lanka 2024 (23 March 2024, Hatch, Colombo, with the Arduino Community in Sri Lanka). Next: its own talks, workshops and meetups.
